Residents gathered at Heritage Park in Valencia this past weekend to build their own box homes to raise awareness for homelessness.
Teams and families spent the night in their boxes to experience firsthand what homeless families may go through each night.
SCV Family Promise is a non-profit that benefits from the event and helps local homeless families get back on their feet. Families that have been helped by this organization shared their experiences.

Yes, an overnight party for the privileged then hop in their beemer and drive home after going out for breakfast, what a fun time while showing the other SCV self righteous how much you want them to think you care. That must have helped all the homeless sleep better.
There are no instant quick fixes or complete answers to homeless as you would like but I’m sure those who were there have something to do with getting that year round shelter opened.
