FOOD DRIVE – Hey Sierra Vista, we are having a nonperishable food drive this month to benefit the “Help the Children” foundation. The collection starts Monday, November 13, and ends on Tuesday, November 21st. The team that collects the most canned goods per student gets to have a team teacher wear a turkey costume and earns spirit points for their team. POSTER CONTEST – Congratulations to the winners of 21st Annual 8th Grade Poster contest. Honorable mentions were Liliana Silva, Fionna Inostroza, Kailyn Tretta, Arwen O’Dell, and America Gonzales. 3rd Runner-up for his depiction of the book “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” is Harry Embuido. 2nd Runner-up for her depiction of “Divergent” is Ashley Villa. 1st Runner-up for her depiction of “Ghost Hawk” is Ramona Bruckner. And the Grand Prize and Student Choice Winner is Jamie Lee for her depiction of the book “The Shadow Throne. Be sure to come and see these fabulous posters at our library and check out the books that inspired the students’ work. Congratulations to all of our top 40 finalists and winners! RANGERS DEPUTIES OF THE MONTH – Team Rangers would like to congratulate our Deputies of the Month, Kailea Aralar, Miranda Emery Henry, Nicole Reginaldo, Carson Rodi, Xavier Lambey CROSS COUNTRY – If you signed up for the cross country meet, we have a mandatory practice today after school. All runners must attend. If you cannot please see Mr. Drabinski in room 627. COACH DOS – This Wednesday, speaker and best selling author “Coach Dos” is offering a free health and fitness presentation for all Hart District students. He has a special invitation just for us. Let’s check it out! JUSTICE LEAGUE – Sierra Vista Movie Night is Friday, November 17th, at the Canyon Country Regal Cinema for a private screening of Justice League! Showtime is 5:30pm – 8:30pm, in our own private auditorium. Family members are welcome to purchase a ticket to attend since it is NOT a student-only event. Tickets are on sale now at the ASB Window for only $15. Please bring your signed flyer with you when you purchase your ticket. See Mrs. Terranova in room 1002 if you have any questions.
