POSTER CONTEST – Congratulations to the winners of 21st Annual 8th Grade Poster contest. Honorable mentions were Liliana Silva, Fionna Inostroza, Kailyn Tretta, Arwen O’Dell, and America Gonzales. 3rd Runner-up for his depiction of the book “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” is Harry Embuido. 2nd Runner-up for her depiction of “Divergent” is Ashley Villa. 1st Runner-up for her depiction of “Ghost Hawk” is Ramona Bruckner. And the Grand Prize and Student Choice Winner is Jamie Lee for her depiction of the book “The Shadow Throne. COACH DOS – TOMORROW NIGHT, coach and best selling author “Coach Dos” is offering a free presentation for all Hart District students. Talk to us, Coach!

CHEERLEADERS – ASB wants cheerleaders to come and sign up in room 1002 during brunch TODAY to help encourage student spirit for the pep-rally and turkey bowl football during turkey week for this year.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES – The Anime club meets in room 303 and the Film club meets in room 615 at lunch.

JUSTICE LEAGUE – Sierra Vista Movie Night is Friday, November 17th, at the Canyon Country Regal Cinema for a private screening of Justice League! Showtime is 5:30pm – 8:30pm, in our own private auditorium. Family members are welcome to purchase a ticket to attend since it is NOT a student-only event. Tickets are on sale now at the ASB Window for only $15. Please bring your signed flyer with you when you purchase your ticket. See Mrs. Terranova in room 1002 if you have any questions. SSA – This Wednesday November 8th we will be holding our monthly SSA meeting at lunch in the MPR. See you there!

POPCORNOPOLIS – Hey Sierra Vista! Remember to get your orders in for Popcornopolis. The money is used for cool stuff that is used in the classrooms. You can turn in your order form to your math teacher whenever it is complete–no need to wait until the 13th. Mmmmm, check out this new flavor, this Red Velvet is delicious! Let’s get poppin’ Sierra Vista!

DFYinSCV – The DFYinSCV Field Trip is TODAY. Students participating in the field trip should remain in your entire B period class. Once B period is over, meet Mrs. Sandoval in the front of the school. We will be gone for the rest of the day.

SPURS STUDENTS OF THE MONTH – Congratulations to the October SPURS Students of the Month, Gwen Campos and Jacob Arnold. Thank you for being such STAR students and for all of your contributions to our team. We appreciate you!

DENIM DAY – Wow, Sierra Vista students and staff are amazing. Last month we raised one thousand, two hundred, forty-five dollars on Denim Day to help find a cure for breast Cancer! We can add money to our Denim Day Fundraiser through the end of the year. Students can still earn service hours. Come to room 617 for more information, and thanks again for all your support!
