BASEBALL SHIRTS – Sierra Vista baseball shirts are now on sale for only $10, and Tie Dye sweatshirts are $35. Show your Plainsman Pride on Fridays and you may just get candy from ASB. Buy your spiritwear today at the ASB window.

FAMILY RESOURCE PROGRAM WORKSHOP – Attention all students.  You and your families are invited to attend our next PAC/Family Resource Program Workshop.  Literacy night will be on Tuesday, November 14th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the SV Library. Attendees will learn how to be excellent readers and writers for success in school and in future jobs.  Our principal, Ms. Hoffman, will also share the latest Sierra Vista News.  Be sure to come to this informative event.  Please RSVP to your English teacher so that we know how much dessert to bring.  See you there!

RANGERS – Team Rangers would like to congratulate our Deputies of the Month, Kailea Aralar, Miranda Emery Henry, Nicole Reginaldo,  Carson Rodi,  Xavier Lambey Adrian Ramirez. These students are respectful to their teachers, and are well liked by their peers and teachers.  They always put forth 100% effort in all that they do, and they exemplify the Rangers’ motto of Courage, Integrity & Perseverance!  It is an honor to have Kailea, Miranda, Nicole, Carson, Xavier, & Adrian on Team Rangers!

JOIN ASB – If you’re a seventh grader that is NOT in a year-long elective, who wants to help others and make our school a better place, who is also hard-working, dependable, honest, and trustworthy…then having ASB as your second semester elective may be for you! To apply, click on the link on the Sierra Vista homepage and complete all of the information in it’s entirety by Wednesday, November 15. Since spots are limited, only a few students per team will be contacted for the second part of the application process. A list of accepted candidates will be made available by Friday, December 1st. Please see Mrs. Terranova in room 1002 if you have any questions. Please note – that if you are already in a year-long elective, then you cannot apply at this time, but you could apply for ASB as your elective for 8th grade in the spring.

FOOD DRIVE – Hey Sierra Vista, we are having a nonperishable food drive this month to benefit the “Help the Children” foundation. The collection starts Monday, November 13, and ends on Tuesday, November 21st. The team that collects the most canned goods per student gets to have a team teacher wear a turkey costume and earns spirit points for their team.
