As of three in the afternoon, the Rye Fire had just crossed the Ventura County Line. The Rye Fire remains at 7,000 acres  burned with five percent containment.

The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control has been working around d the clock to rescue animals as a result of the active fires.

A standoff between a suspect, Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s tactical units ended “peacefully’ after four hours.

A GoFundMe Page has been created to support Valencia High School Teacher Cindy Pharis, who escaped the Creek fire.
