Groundbreaking Held for Parking Structure on COC Valencia Campus

College of the Canyons’ Board of Trustees joined city representatives and Chancellor Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook to break ground on a new parking structure for the college’s Valencia campus.

The new parking structure, located where lot 7 once resided, will have capacity for 1,659 vehicles, adding an additional 1,000 spaces to campus parking, and 50 free charging stations for electric vehicles.

Construction began this March and is expected to be completed in time for the structure to be used for the Spring 2019 semester.

Cost of the project is $21 million, with funding coming from Measure E, the bond measure approved by local voters in 2016.
