DANCE TICKETS – Sierra Vista’s “Neon Night” black light dance will be on Friday, May 11th in the MPR from 2:30-4:30. This is our last dance of the year, so don’t miss out! The LA Donut truck will be there, serving delicious doughnut sundaes. Tickets are sold at the ASB window starting Monday, May 7th, for the following prices:

TRAVEL CLUB – Attention 7th graders, if you are interested in being part of the 8th grade Travel Club next year, there will be a meeting for you and your parents/guardians Monday evening in the MPR at 7pm. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Kontis in room 626 or ask your history teacher for details.

CLUBS & ACTIVITIES – Today in Clubs and Activities the PE club is in the Fitness center and Track and Field is on the PE fields after school.
BROWN BAG PRESENTATION – Attention all students – Mark your calendar for Thursday, May 10th. A very special Brown Bag Presentation will be at lunch in the SV Library where you can meet Mr. Obert Skye, author of many books and series, including “The Creature in my Closet” and the brand new “Wizard for Hire.” No ticket will be required. Mr. Skye will speak about the “magic of writing” as he takes you through a six ingredient spell that will make writers out of all of you. It is an interactive and funny presentation Later that evening, families are invited to see Mr. Skye at Barnes & Noble, Valencia for a book signing starting at 6:00 p.m. The SV Library will receive a portion of the sales of any items you purchase, all day, on May 10th, including the cafe goodies such as a cheesecake for Mother’s day! You may show a flyer posted on the SV Website for us to receive credit, or just mention Sierra Vista Library at the cash register. Thank you for your support!
TRACK & FIELD – All Sierra Vista track and field participants, we are have a mandatory practice TODAY to determine slotting for the race next week, if you can’t attend please see Mr Drabinski, if you do not show up you will be taken off the team.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CREW – This summer, the Santa Clarita Child and Family Center will be hosting a Youth Empowerment Crew. This is a 2-day event during July that is focused on empowering students in middle and high school to be the best version of themselves while pursuing their passions. This event is FREE to the community and will be held on July 11 & 18. For more details, please contact Nila Karimzai at nila.karimzai@childfamilycenter.org or call 661-259-8175.

NEON NIGHT – Attention ALL students attending this Friday’s dance: please note that you MUST bring your ID card with you to the dance or you will be sent to the back of the line. Party Pack members just need to show their ID card to get into the dance; they don’t need an actual ticket since their name is on the list. Doors open at 2:30pm. Backpacks can be stored in the backpack cages of the PE locker rooms. Students will not be admitted to the dance after 2:45pm, so please do NOT leave campus after school if you’re attending the dance. Snacks and beverages will be available for sale, and you can buy donuts, coffee drinks and donut sundaes from the LA donut truck, so don’t forget to bring money for snacks and the photographer. The dance ends at 4:30pm. Students are NOT allowed to leave early due to safety reasons. Please be sure to follow dress code. Please see Mrs. Terranova in room 1002 if you have any questions.
