On December 12, 1982, then-12-year-old Christine Hermann was hit by a car while playing in her neighborhood. She suffered significant injuries and spent a considerable amount of time in intensive care.
In her recovery process, she wrote a book about her experiences and how those experiences shaped her life. Now, 35 years later, she met the firefighters who rescued her and presented them with a copy of her book.
