Honor Society:  Attention 8th graders, if you are interested in joining Honor Society this fall, then you will need to apply online using your student Gmail account. The application is due Friday, 9/7, along with your 10 hours of community service, if you have already completed them. Otherwise, all Service hours are due by Friday, 9/28! Let’s Do This Fundraiser: The first “Let’s Do This” homeroom meets TOMORROW during RELAX! After brunch, go to your “Let’s Do This” homeroom teacher’s room to hear which homerooms and teams are in the lead! Can’t wait to see who’s getting FRAPPUCCINOS! Please be sure to bring and cash or check donations and pledge sheets to your “Let’s Do This Homeroom.” You can get another Pledge Sheet from the ASB window so you can earn more donations and prizes! Aaaaand don’t forget that the first critter coupon turn in is THIS Wednesday during brunch at the outdoor stage! So be sure to fill out your coupons tonight and have you parents sign them so you can get your critters tomorrow!

Safe School Ambassadors Wanted: We are searching for students interested in joining our Safe School Ambassadors program here at Sierra Vista. This program teaches students how to handle conflict through peer mediation techniques and how to encourage positivity on campus rather than negativity. SSA members become valuable peace-keepers, and they also learn how to recognize threats and how to report them in a timely manner in order to keep our school a safe place. The students we are looking for are kind, helpful individuals who have the potential to make a difference in the lives of others. We need students who are trustworthy and diverse. Students who join SSA need to be responsible too because they will be missing two days of classes on 9/20 and 9/21 for training and must make-up their work. Finally, we need committed and reliable students because there will be follow-up meetings and training events every month. Does this sound like you?
