The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) receives a $47 million Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to Bring Traffic Relief to Interstate 5 in Santa Clarita Valley.

    Does that mean the current project must be re-done? The freeways are never built to support future traffic. Remember Congressman Sherman’s six year 405/101 debacle?
    Freeway construction is a giant jobs-works program only a politician can love. Sadly, the long term goal is to charge tolls.

    NICE!! what a joke! the entire 5 freeway from the 14 north through valencia is a joke!! where can we get updated info on this project? when will it be “BETTER”

    Great – our tax money going to subsidize developers. Newhall Land was supposed to help pay fr this since their development is causing it, but I see they got the public to pay again. Its not going to help anyway with the predicted 357,000 car trips a day at buildout from Newhall Ranch
