Brown Bag Presentation: Attention 7th Graders:  Our first Brown Bag Presentation, “Creepy Creatures” will be this Thursday, November 1st, in the SV Library during lunch.  “Brown Bag” means you can bring your own lunch to eat in the library, plus we will have free snacks and water bottles for you.  Our guest speakers will be the Placerita Nature Center Park Rangers. They are bringing in live creepy creatures such as snakes, tarantulas, and raptors, to share with our students.  Ask your 7th grade science teacher for a free ticket. Ticket holders will be admitted first, and all others (including 8th graders) may then enter as seating space allows. Don’t miss out on this exciting event!

8th Grade Poster Contest: Attention all students. We need your vote!  Come to the library any time this week to vote for your favorite poster that encourages you to read the book shown in the design.  These posters are the top 40 finalists in the 8th Grade Poster Contest. You will be selecting the “Student Choice” winner with your votes.  Please note that the numbers stapled to the posters are for identification purposes only, and do not rank the posters in any way. See Mrs. Fulleman for a ballot.

Thursday Lunch Time Activity: Tomorrow at lunch come out to the quad with one or two other friends and build the most artistic and/or tallest tower out of pumpkin candy and toothpicks. You will have 20 minutes to build your tower. At the end of those 20 minutes, there will be a judge, judging on the most artistic tower and the tallest tower. The winners will receive candy.

Costume Contest: Attention all students participating in today’s Halloween costume contest. Please make sure your costume is appropriate and follows our school’s dress code. Participants need to come to room 1002 at brunch for ASB to check your costume. Team teachers will be a part of the contest as well. The winning team gets spirit points, so be sure to come and cheer on your teachers and show your team pride!

Clubs and Activities: Today in Clubs and Activities we have the tutor club in room 626 and the costume contest on the outdoor stage.
