With a number of intricate projects, complicated-looking engineering feats, and sophisticated concepts lining the Oak Hills Elementary School Multipurpose Room on Friday, February 1, the future felt bright in the hands of the young and talented minds who participated in the school’s annual STEM Expo.

The Expo is the culmination of a week’s long event, where students from third to sixth grade presented the projects they worked on from concept to resolution to an array of volunteer judges from the community.

Some students even received special recognition of a first, second, or third place win.

This fair also determines the eligible sixth graders who will be able to advance to the L.A. County-wide Science Fair held in Pasadena each March.
