Spirit Week: We have Spirit Week this week! Today is comfy/cozy day, Tomorrow is National Orange Day for Love, Wednesday is Disney/Marvel/Star Wars day, and Thursday is wear red white or pink day.

Outdoor Stage: Come to the Outdoor Stage at brunch today and write down a compliment to a friend and add to our “Kindness Tree.” Participants get a piece of candy!

One Community Event: The Many Families, One Community event will be on Saturday, February 23rd, from 9am – 3pm at Golden Valley High School. If you and your family are interested in attending, you can complete the online registration at: http://bit.ly/MFOCfamilyfair, or you can get a paper copy from Mrs. Terranova in room 621. Registration for the event needs to be completed ahead of time.

Val-O-Grams: Would you like to shower a friend with love? Surprise a crush? Embarrass your bestie? Buy a Val-O-Gram!! The Beginning and Advanced choir students will be selling these singing telegrams for only $5! But now before they sell out!

Assembly: This Wednesday, we will be having a special assembly with motivational speaker, Dee Hankins. Get ready a great presentation. Please be sure to be a polite and courteous audience during your team’s assembly time.

Walk In Their Shoes Display: Tomorrow, during lunch, the Child and Family Center will be having “A Walk in their Shoes” display during lunch by the outdoor stage. This display uses hand painted shoes to help tell the stories of local teens who have experienced relationship violence. The shoes are displayed close to the group to create the illusion of “standing in the shoes” of our survivors as they learn about their experience. Please visit the display if you have any questions or concerns about Teen Dating Violence.

Color Run on Friday: Sierra Vista is having a COLOR on Friday, February 22nd! Participants get cotton candy, Crunchy’s shaved ice, and an amazingly fun experience that you and your friends will never forget! Get ready for 8 hilarious stations that include a balloon maze, water balloon smash, bubble tunnel and more. Tickets go on sale this Thursday for $5, but if you also want to get a limited edition, Color Run shirt, then it’s only $15. If you want the Color Run shirt, then please pick up an order form at the ASB window ahead of time. Tickets are limited, so don’t miss out on this fun, messy, colorful event!

Tutu Making: In the spirit of “Color Run fun,” Mrs. Terranova and Miss Bailey are hosting a tutu making tutorial on Wednesday, February 20th,  from 2:15 until 3:15 in room 621. Participants get to make their own tutu to keep! Students can wear their tutu for the Color Run that we will have on 2/22, or they can just make their tutu for fun! If you’re interested, please pick up a form from Mrs. Terranova in room 621 ASAP and  return this form to Mrs. Knolls in the counseling office. Only the first 30 students to turn in their slip will receive an admission ticket, so don’t wait!

Clubs and Activities: Today in clubs and activities we have the Fitness club in the fitness center after school, the dance club in the MPR, and the chess and games club in room 301.
