Magic Mountain 8th Grade: 8th graders: don’t forget to purchase your Magic Mountain ticket ASAP. Regular tickets will cost $55, for season pass holders, the the cost is $20. Students purchasing a ticket will receive 1 meal voucher to purchase food within the park! Tickets can be purchased BEFORE school to avoid the lines.

Spirit Week: This week is Spirit Week! Dress up and show your school spirit. Today is Pastel Day, Wednesday is Crazy Sock Day, Thursday is Twin Day, Friday is Summer Day, wear summer or beach attire, but swimsuits are prohibited. ASB will be visiting class periods during B and C period to deliver candy to participants.  Tuesday at brunch come out to the quad to spin the spirit wheel.

8th Grade BBQ: This year’s 8th grade BBQ, there will be donuts present! Fill out a form on the Sierra Vista Website, to choose what kind of styled donuts you want there!

Clean Campus Competition: Have you noticed that sometimes people leave their trash out during lunch or brunch? To keep our campus clean, we will be having a “Clean Campus Competition! From April 22 – May 3rd, the whole school will participate in a clean campus competition where there will be trash cans in the quad with team names on them at lunch. The team with the most amount of trash  in their bin will win 3 spirit points that day. Since this competition will be going on for 2 weeks, there will be 30 points in total that your team can win.

Football Camp: There is a football camp this Saturday at Canyon, it’s for anyone who would like to attend they do not have to have played football or be attending Canyon in the future to come. It’s open to anyone grades 5-8. Please come to room 206 for a flyer or anymore information.

Handball: Today in the gym we will be playing handball. The first 14 students to show up will play.  

Denim Day: If you love wearing jeans, denim jackets, and overalls, now you can wear them with for a PURPOSE!  April 24th is Denim Day and we are encouraging you to wear your denim proudly! Denim Day is a nationwide event to support safe boundaries in relationships and to spread the message that “No means No”.  The Child and Family Center will be on campus during lunch with an interactive activity that will allow you to spread messages of hope and support for our community. So, stop by the tables outside of the 1200 building at lunch

Last Dance: Come one, come all! The last dance of the year is Friday, April 26th from 2:30-4:30pm. We will be having a donut food truck and other carnival treats, as well as tons of games, and an awesome DJ. Tickets are on sale for $5. If you’re interested is pre ordering a food and beverage combo for $5 to eat at the dance, then you MUST place your preorder by the end of lunch on Thursday, April 25th, or there’s no guarantee that there will be more food available for sale during the dance. Students that have the Party Pack already have a ticket to the dance, but if they want to preorder food, then they need to go to the ASB window. This is going to be our best dance of the year!

Clubs and Activities: Today in clubs and activities, we have the Harry Potter DIY Club in 104 and Maker Space Tuesday in the Library.
