Spirit Points “Clean Campus Competition”- Here are the spirit points awarded based on yesterday’s “Clean Campus Competition” results. Don’t forgetting help out your team by throwing away trash in your team’s trash can!

8th Grade Magic Mountain Trip- 8th graders: don’t forget to purchase your Magic Mountain ticket ASAP. Regular tickets will cost $55, for season pass holders, the the cost is $20. Students purchasing a ticket will receive 1 meal voucher to purchase food within the park! Tickets can be purchased BEFORE school to avoid the lines.

Spirit Week- This week is Spirit Week! Dress up and show your school spirit. Today is Twin Day,  and tomorrow is Summer Day, wear summer or beach attire, but swimsuits are prohibited. ASB will be visiting class periods during B and C period to deliver candy to participants.  Tuesday at brunch come out to the quad to spin the spirit wheel.

Carnival Dance- Attention ALL students attending this Friday’s dance: please note that you MUST bring your ID card with you to the dance or you will be sent to the back of the line. Party Pack members just need to show their ID card to get into the dance; they don’t need an actual ticket since their name is on the list. Doors open at 2:30pm. Backpacks can be stored in the backpack cages of the PE locker rooms. Students will not be admitted to the dance after 2:45pm, so please do NOT leave campus after school if you’re attending the dance. You will want to bring money for food. The dance ends at 4:30pm. Students are NOT allowed to leave early due to safety reasons. Please be sure to follow dress code. There are a few tickets left for sale for $8, but tomorrow, they go up to $10. Gold Rush Student of the Week- Congratulations to the Gold Rush Students of the Week: Melina Yazdani and Kevin Gutierrez

Softball Intramurals- Major league baseball is in full swing, the Dodgers are in first place so we are making Mays lunch time intramural sport softball. If you go on the Sierra Vista website under news and announcements you can find the link to sign-up.  You can form a team or sign-up as a free agent. If you are forming a team please have all members of the team sign-up. Team can consist of 8 to 12 students. At the end of the month the students will form an all star team and face the teachers in the annual Staff vs Students softball game in front of the entire school.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Drabinski in 1002.

Advanced Choir Auditions- Are you a seventh grader who loves to sing and wants to represent our school around the community? Join Advanced Choir! Auditions are in the choir room on Thursday and Friday this week. Mrs. Mowry can’t wait to see you there!

Handball- Today in the gym we will be playing handball. The first 14 students to show up will play.  

Fish for Spirit Points- Come out to the quad today at lunch and watch out your teachers and teammates fish for Spirit Points!

Clubs and Activities- Today in clubs and activities, we have the trading cards club in room 101, debate club in 801,the pro bey club in room 206, the fitness club in the fitness center after school, and a video game club meeting after school in room 615.
