Summer Enrichment Courses: 7th graders, if you’re interested in taking some Summer Enrichment Courses, there is creative writing, a science project, exploratory Spanish, health and exercise, exploratory math, marine sciences, beginning guitar, exploratory art, technology fundamentals, and beginning video production. SVLife: 7th graders, if you’re interested in becoming a member of SVLife next year for your 8th grade elective, please see Mrs. Terranova in room 621 today!

ASB Voting: The ASB officer campaigns for the 2019-2020 school year has begun! Please be mindful and courteous of the candidate posters and fliers that are up around campus. 7th graders will view the officer speeches in their electives class tomorrow. The speeches will also be available for viewing on the SVLife website. 7th graders will receive an email in their student gmail account with the voting link tomorrow as well. The voting window will close tomorrow at 2:15pm, and the elected officers will be announced on SVLife tomorrow at 2:30pm. Good luck to all of the candidates!

Last Career Speaker: Our last career speaker will be coming to our school on Tuesday, May 21st at lunch in room 802. If you like working with innovative technology, this may be a field for you. Do you have ideas of ways that technology can help us in the future? Are you good at helping others and finding information to help improve products? Glow Party: DFY IN SCV is hosting a Glow Party at Glow House Gaming, tomorrow from 7 to 10 pm. The cost is $15. Stop by room 305 if you have any questions.

Kindness Activity: Today, we are having a kindness activity, where you can make someone smile. Students will take a post it note and write a compliment to one of their friends, teachers or a staff member.

Plainsmen Bingo: Come to the outdoor stage on Monday, 5/20 to play Plainsmen Bingo! If you fill the bingo sheet, you get candy!

Culinary Room: Culinary and Hospitality 1 and 2 still has room for a few more great cooks. If you loved Beginning Culinary and want to be part of the Advanced Culinary class, see Mrs. Fossen in room 901.

Football at CHS: For any 8th graders interested in playing football for Canyon High School next year, please see Mr. Maiale in room 206 at lunch tomorrow for a brief meeting.

Clubs and Activities: Today in Clubs and Activities, we have the trading cards club in room 101, the debate club in room 801, the pro bey club in room 206, and the CHS Band Mentorship after school from 2:30-3:30.
