The COC Veterans Resource Center hosted a Pre-Memorial Day event in memory and solidarity with those who have or are currently serving in the branches of the armed services.

The event began with a ceremonial flag raising at the college’s flag pole, allowing for a moment of reflection to the passerby, as they meditated upon the real meaning behind the unofficial start to summer.

Following the flag raising, the Center provided a free lunch of Chik-Fil-A to veterans and offered the lunch to students and community with a $5 minimum donation to the Warrior’s Scholarship.
