Magic Mountain Field Trip: Attention 8th graders attending the Magic Mountain field trip that’s on Wednesday, June 5th. Please pay close attention to the following information: Report to your Bus Table in the grass quad at 9:15 a.m.; buses will be leaving the school at 9:30 a.m. Bus lists will be posted on the back of the office. Leave your backpack at home; if you bring your backpack to school, you will need to take it with you to the park, and there it is subject to security searches. We recommend that you bring or wear: Sunblock/Sunglasses/Chapstick, Comfortable walking/tennis shoes, Dress-code appropriate shorts/pants, Event t-shirt (to be distributed during check-in) MUST be worn exiting the bus and throughout Magic Mountain or you risk removal from the park, Sweater (for nighttime), Money (for lunch/snacks/drinks/lockers/souvenirs, etc.), Fully-charged Cell Phone. The buses load/leave from Magic Mountain at 6:00 p.m. Parent pick-up time at Sierra Vista is 7:00 p.m. Please see Mrs. Iacenda if you have any questions.

BBQ Tickets: Hey 8th graders, don’t forget to get your BBQ ticket at the ASB window for $5. The last day to purchase your ticket is Wednesday, June 5, so don’t wait!

Library Announcements: “Attention all students. Here are two important library announcements before you leave for summer break. First of all, please write down and keep in a safe place, all of your passwords for logging on to Google, Infinite Campus, and AD, which is the password for desktop computers. NONE of these passwords will be reset or changed over the summer, so it will be up to you to know your passwords when school starts in August. Secondly, please consider signing up for the Santa Clarita Public Libraries’ summer reading program. Starting June 10th through July 27th, you may sign up at SCVSummerReading.com Take the five book challenge and win some prizes. It’s a great way for our current 7th graders to get a head start on their Reading Counts quizzes for the next quarter, and for 8th graders to continue to practice their reading skills as well.
