SUPPORT: The teachers and staff here at Sierra Vista are on the lookout for any Plainsmen that are demonstrating SUPPORT. When a teacher or other staff member catches you demonstrating SUPPORT, he or she may award you with a bit of flair to showcase on your backpack or binder. Other staff members may also award you with a Together We Succeed Ticket. Students who earn these tickets can turn them into the ASB office and will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a prize.

Family Exploration Night: Attention all students. Our first Family Exploration Night will be this Tuesday, August 27th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Our SV Counselors will provide you and your families, information about how to be successful in junior high. Principal Hoffman will be there as well, to share the latest Sierra Vista news. Plus we’ll be serving dessert! Please ask your family to RSVP by today, by clicking on the link on our school’s website. See you there!

Fun Friday: Hey Sierra Vista! Come on out to the quad today at lunch for Fun Friday! We’ll have music AND games, like giant JENGA, giant checkers, hula hoops, ladder toss, bean bag toss, and more! We’ll also have picnic blankets out for you to sit with your friends. ASB hopes to see you there!

Clubs: If you’re interested in starting a club, please see Mrs. Terranova in room 621, during brunch or lunch. Some of the clubs that we’ve had in the past include chess club, Harry Potter club, Meme club, tutor club, and more! You might have an interest or hobby that you share with other students who would like to be a part of a club with you, so please see Mrs. Terranova today.

August Birthdays: Hey Sierra Vista! If your birthday is in August, come out to the outdoor stage on August 26th at lunch to get a Plainsmen Buck for your birthday! Your birthday buck can be used to purchase a snack at the snack cart when it’s around during lunch on Friday! Happy Birthday from ASB. We hope to see you there!

Movie/Games: Come to room 621 on Tuesday, August 27, at lunch to watch a movie and play some games. Bring your friends and come have some fun!
