Sierra Vista Jr. High | Sierra Vista Life, 9-11-19
Celebrate: This week, the teachers and staff here at Sierra Vista are on the lookout for any Plainsmen that are demonstrating the behavior expectation of celebrate. When a teacher or other staff member catches you doing this, he or she may award you with a bit of flair to showcase on your backpack or binder. Teachers or other staff may also award you with a Together We Succeed Ticket. Students who earn these tickets can turn them into the ASB office and will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a prize. Our raffle is happening soon!
Let’s Do This Homeroom: Hey Sierra Vista! Please remember that during RELAX today, you will report to your “Let’s Do This Homeroom” homeroom to hear which homerooms and teams are in the lead! Please be sure to bring cash, check donations or pledge sheets to your Let’s Do This Homeroom. Can’t wait to see who’s getting FRAPPUCCINOS! Don’t forget that the LAST buddy bucks turn in day is Thursday, during brunch at the outdoor stage! You can get another Pledge Sheet from the ASB window so you can earn more donations and prizes!
Video Game Club: If you are interested in joining the video game club, there will be a meeting today at lunch in room 206.
Los Angeles County Science Fair: We are excited to announce that we will be competing in the Los Angeles County Science Fair! This is a great event for any students with big ideas in science, math, or engineering. This a great opportunity to showcase your talents and skills. This event is sponsored by SpaceX, JPL, and the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum. This is our second year participating and the only school in the Hart District to participate. Come to room 104 for more information on this event if you would like to participate!
Outdoor Stage Event: Want to thank a teacher that has really helped you out this year? Come to the outdoor stage on Friday, September 13, at brunch, to write a note to a teacher of your choice! You will receive a piece of candy in return for your completed note, which will be given to the teacher at a later time. Remember students, today is the deadline to turn in your pre-orders for any Stuart Gibbs autographed books. Please turn them into the ASB office as soon as possible. Students who have purchased books may pick them up from our SV Library at brunch on the day of the assembly – Friday, Sept. 27th.(c)2019 WSHUHSD | SCVTV
