Team Rangers Deputies: Team Rangers would like to congratulate our Deputies of the Month for October, Julian Viola Brendan Valdamar, Cole Dixon, Maile Hernandez, Eilene Lopez, Amaryliz Dominguez. It is an honor to have them on Team Rangers!

Spirit Week: Next week is spirit week! Monday is Merch Monday, Tuesday is tye dye Tuesday, Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday, so wear wacky or mismatching clothes, Thursday is team war Thursday. Rangers wear blue, trailblazers wear red, spurs wear black, majestics wear purple, pioneers wear green, and gold rush wear yellow/gold, and Friday is flannel Friday. ASB will be coming around during SOME “C” and “D” periods to give participants candy. And whichever team has the most participants wearing their designated team color on Thursday, will earn spirit points.

Let’s Do This Winners: Congratulations to the Rangers and the Majestics Mountaineers for being the winning teams for the “Let’s Do This” fundraiser! Please note that if you’re a Ranger or a Majestic Mountaineer, and you obtained donations this year for the “Let’s Do This” fundraiser, that your pizza party will be THIS FRIDAY during lunch! The Rangers will be having their pizza party in room 801, and the Majestic Mountaineers will have their party in room 611. Thanks again for participating in “Let’s Do This!

Let’s Do This Prizes: Attention Let’s Do This” fundraiser participants: the prize distribution day for students who obtained $100 or more in donations is THIS FRIDAY, in the MPR, at LUNCH! Please check the colored lists around campus to see which prize level table you’ll report to for your prizes on Friday. Please be sure to report to the MPR at the beginning of lunch to get your prizes. Please also be sure to bring your student ID card with you to get your prizes. Hispanic Heritage Month: It’s National Hispanic Heritage Month. Did you know, that Carlos Juan Finlay solved the mystery of what caused yellow fever in 1881? He was the only juan who could do it!

Advanced Band Canyon vs Hart: This Friday, October 18, join Advanced Band at the Canyon vs. Hart football game, where they will be playing to support a Cowboys win!! Wear your SV spirit gear and watch as we perform for the first time as a marching band! The game starts at 7. We’ll see you there!

Teacher Of The Month: The Teacher of the Month for October is Mr. Copenhaver!!! The students nominated him because he’s such an excellent guitar teacher and is very funny. Congratulations!

Mountasia Night: DFY in SCV Presents Mountasia Night this Friday, 10/18 from 6:30 to 9 pm. The cost is $20. Bring your school ID and pay at the door. Hope to see you there!

Fun Friday: Come to the outdoor stage on Friday 10/18 to enjoy Fun Friday! There will be games like pin the tail on the cat, giant Jenga, hula hoops, ladder toss, and more! ASB hopes to see you there!
