Around Town | Academy Recruits Honor Fallen Deputies During Colors Run
|
In a very emotional ceremony, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department recruit class No. 443 performed their colors run through Six Flags Magic Mountain early Friday morning. As temperatures crested 35 degrees, more than 70 academy recruits ran in honor of fallen Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies Hagop “Jake” Kuredjian, Arthur Pelino, Randy Hamson and David March. Deputy March’s widow spoke to the recruits and together they recited words he wrote nine days before he was gunned down. “My goals are simple, I will always be painfully honest, work as hard as I can, learn as much as I can and hopefully make a difference in people’s lives.” (c) 2019 Austin Dave & SCVTV
