California Gov. Gavin Newsom called on all bars, brew pubs and wineries to close in  press conference Sunday, and he said the state will require social distancing at restaurants, which equates to a reduction in occupancy.

He said the new orders are “guidelines” but added, “we have the capacity to enforce (them) if necessary.”

He also urged persons 65 and older and other vulnerable populations to self-isolate at home.
