Vista Canyon Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Monday, March 7, the city of Santa Clarita welcomed Vista Canyon Park to the community in a ribbon cutting ceremony. Vista Canyon marks the 36th Santa Clarita park for both residents and visitors to enjoy.

City Council, local dignitaries, City staff and the public gathered around the historic Mitchell River House as Mayor Laurene Weste spoke to the history of the facility, as well as the numerous amenities of Vista Canyon Park. The 11-acre site features a playground with sensory musical elements, three pickleball courts, two tennis courts, a full basketball court, an outdoor picnic gazebo and the Mitchell River House for event reservations.

The Vista Canyon development is a car-optional and sustainability-focused community located adjacent to the 14-freeway in Santa Clarita. For more information about Vista Canyon Park, contact Parks Manager Susan Nelson at snelson@santa-clarita.com.
