SCV Chamber’s Latino Business Alliance celebrates contributions of Hispanic and Latino Business Leaders

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the SCV Chamber of Commerce’s Latino Business Alliance gathers local business leaders and community members to honor the contributions of Hispanic business leaders, while paying homage to Latin heritage and history.

Also, the annual event allows business leaders to gather, network, and award their fellow local businesses, all while enjoying an exciting celebration filled with traditional foods and music.

This year’s event takes place on September 20 at 5:30 p.m. at The Centre, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15-October 15

Hispanic Heritage Month is a national celebration honoring the culture and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

It began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson; President Ronald Reagan expanded it to a 30-day long celebration in 1988.

Currently, Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15 and ends on October 15. In addition, multiple Latin American countries celebrate the anniversaries of their independence within the 30-day time period.

Therefore, National Hispanic Heritage Month has become a way for Americans to honor their ancestors who came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
