The iconic “S” that can be seen on the hillside behind Saugus High School is now as good as new thanks to the efforts of Saugus High School student Robert Haring.

This enormous undertaking was part of his Eagle Scout project and spanned several months of hard work.

The “S” decorated the Saugus High School hillside for years, but typical wear-and-tear has deteriorated the piece in recent years.

Now, thanks to Haring’s efforts alongside numerous volunteers that worked under him, the “S” is standing strong once again.
