The city of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, and public safety officials hosted a Summer Fire Safety Press Conference on June 21 to educate residents about wildfire mitigation and the dangers of fireworks.

The event featured nearly 400 goats grazing to reduce vegetation in high fire risk areas, heavy machinery displays, and interactive activities for families in attendance. Officials emphasized the illegality of fireworks in Santa Clarita and promoted attending the City’s Fourth of July fireworks show instead.
