Plus, we share a dual episode of “This Week in Santa Clarita”, where we learn about the City’s passport services and get a preview of the third annual Business for Artists Conference. Also, Carrie discusses a few recent groundbreakings and what’s in store for those projects. Then, Circle of Hope Afternoon Tea Chair Pamela Verner and Circle of Hope Board President Alison Lindeman join us to discuss Circle of Hope’s signature fundraising event, the afternoon tea, and also give a preview about this year’s theme. After, Newhall School District Dr. Leticia Hernandez joins us to share more about the district’s Fall events, such as the “State of the District” and their first ever Resource Fair, which is open to everyone in the community. Also, she discusses their upcoming event with Raising the Curtain Foundation. Following this, Eclipse Theatre L.A. Creative Director Nancy Lantis discusses their production of Ray Bradbury’s “Something Wicked This Way Comes” which is headed to The MAIN this October. Then, Bark for Life Online Chair Teresa Kerr, along with Bark for Life SCV Co-Chair Brad Peach and Emma the golden retriever join us to share details about the Bark for Life walk, an American Cancer Society event that specifically honors the role of furry companions for those undergoing cancer treatment. After, City of Santa Clarita Arts & Events Administrator Jennifer Shadle shares how to get involved in “Make a Difference Day”, where volunteers come together and work on various community service projects. Finally, on a brand new “This Week in Santa Clarita”, we hear about the City’s passport services and get a preview of this year’s Business for Artists Conference.
