Nonprofit/PSA | Child & Family Center Partners with Baby2Baby to Aid Wildfire Victims
|
The Child & Family Center came together with the nonprofit Baby2Baby to host a donation drive for families impacted by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires on Wednesday, January 15. The Santa Clarita Valley community showed up in full force, donating essential items that are being distributed through Baby2Baby to ensure they reach families in need across Los Angeles County. Nikki Buckstead, CEO of the Child & Family Center, shared how meaningful this effort was. While the center regularly receives items from Baby2Baby to support local families, this time, they had the opportunity to help neighbors in surrounding communities affected by the disaster. Along with collecting donations, the center also provided helpful mental health tips and strategies for families navigating the emotional challenges that often come with disasters like these.
