On this episode of SCV 101, host Bill Miranda brings on the Head Coach of Guerrero Boxing Gym and former Middleweight Champion, Fernando Guerrero, to tell us how boxing helped bring him to America from the Dominican Republic and changed his life, what fulfills him about being a youth boxing coach, and about the Mayor’s Cup Boxing event coming April 26 and 27.

He is also joined by Robby Robinson an Intervention Specialist at the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department to tell us about his work to help rehabilitate troubled youth and how sports such as boxing have given them an outlet to express themselves in a healthy and constructive way.

Lastly, Fernando introduces us to Meadow “Golden Girl” Rodriguez, a youth boxing champion to share with us what led her to pursue the sport.
