In this episode of SCVTV’s Community Corner, the Child and Family Center returns with a preview of its hugely popular premier food and wine festival, Taste of the Town, supporting a vital community resource; the City of Santa Clarita gives us a sneak preview of the beloved Cowboy Festival; the Newhall School District chats with us about its end-of-year activities and registration for the 2025–2026 school year; the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry shares the many ways you can help as the need continues to grow; the Castaic Animal Care Center introduces us to a handsome pooch who’s eager to meet his new family; and in an all-new episode of “This Week in Santa Clarita,” find out the many ways you can help beautify the city at the annual Neighborhood Cleanup.

Kicking off this week’s episode, co-hosts Carrie Lujan and Dave Caldwell dive into the jam-packed lineup ahead. They also highlight the Animal Care Grant Program, which provides vital support to nonprofits serving the animal population in the Santa Clarita Valley Plus, they talk about how you can get your hands on the newest Santa Clarita merch that just dropped!

The hosts then chat with Nikki Buckstead, Chief Executive Officer for the Child & Family Center, who brings along some sweet treats you’ll find at the upcoming premier food and wine festival, Taste of the Town! Proceeds from the event help fund the Center’s life-changing and life-saving programs, including mental health services, substance use treatment, and domestic violence support.

Later, Joanne Ainsworth, Executive Director of the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry, joins us to talk about the tough decision to cancel the Feeding Futures Gala, originally planned to kick off the pantry’s capital campaign. She shares meaningful ways the community can still step up and support their vital mission.

Plus, longtime Castaic Animal Care Center volunteers Paul and Maggie Martinsen introduce us to Crockett, a handsome Pitbull/Terrier mix who’s more than ready to find his forever home!

Finally, hear all about the variety of ways you can serve the community at the annual Neighborhood Cleanup on a new episode of “This Week in Santa Clarita.”
