In this segment of SCVTV’s Community Corner, Ron Krauss and Cindy Gold, board members and dedicated docents at the Placerita Canyon Nature Center, highlight the Center’s biggest event of the year: the annual Open House!

This free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It offers a unique opportunity to learn about the local ecosystem and connect with nature.

From arts and crafts and animal demonstrations to a variety of environmental organizations, including a new addition this year, the Bonsai Club, the event truly has something for everyone.

Ron and Cindy also give us a sneak preview of the Nature Center’s summer programming, including the Family Nature Walk, Books and Hikes, Bird Walk, Blooms of the Season Wildflower Walk, and much more!
