SCVTV's Community Corner | Opening Segment | Learn About the Latest Additions and Upgrades to Santa Clarita Parks
|
|
Kicking off this episode of SCVTV’s Community Corner, co-hosts Carrie Lujan and Dave Caldwell return from summer hiatus to highlight big updates for Santa Clarita Parks, including the new River of Lights at Central Park, the addition of William S. Hart Park as the City’s 40th park, and upcoming improvements at David March Park. The River of Lights installation features hundreds of embedded lights along Central Park’s plaza and stairs, designed to create the illusion of flowing water. William S. Hart Park is now officially part of the City. Visitors can enjoy barnyard animals and guided tours of the Ranch House, where they can learn about William S. Hart’s fascinating history. David March Park is temporarily closed while the City upgrades the basketball courts and adds new features. It is set to reopen early next year, with an eight-acre expansion that will include a baseball field and a second set of exercise stairs. The expansion is expected to open in spring 2026.
