Or maybe you’re a family member and want to find out how you can help advocate for your veteran? Then the JCI Santa Clarita Veterans Resource Fair is just what you’re looking for.

In this segment of SCVTV’s Community Corner, we chat with husband and wife, Jimmy and Kari McCoy, co-chairs of JCI Santa Clarita’s Veterans Resource Fair. The two share their personal struggles of navigating the emotional and mental health challenges veterans experience and the toll it takes on the family. Jimmy McCoy, who served in the United States States Marine Corp., also shines light on the shame and stigma often associated with veterans asking for help.

The fair will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m., at College of the Canyons and will include job assistance, mental health support, VA benefits guidance, and so much more.
