For 22 years, Soroptimist International of Valencia has been supporting women (and now men) on their breast cancer journey with its signature event, “Bras for a Cause.”

This year’s event, “Music of the Night,” which is slated for Saturday, Sept. 27, is already sold out. However, community members interested in donating to the cause may still do so online.

Co-chairs Laura Chesler and Olga Campbell give us a sneak peek at the eagerly-awaited and highly entertaining event, which has raised more than $750,000 since its inception. The event will include inspirational stories, exciting auction items, and live models – many of whom have a personal connection to breast cancer – displaying hand-decorated themed bras.

Proceeds from the event go toward breast cancer support services and Soroptimist’s core programs: Live Your Dream and Dream It, Be It, which help women and girls achieve economic independence through education and mentorship.
