In the Opening Segment of SCVTV’s Community Corner, guest hosts Lance O’Keefe and Tyler Pledger, who are filling in for Dave Caldwell and Carrie Lujan, kick things off with local Halloween activities that appeal to all ages. We also get an update on the city of Santa Clarita’s new Mobile Command Unit and O’Keefe welcomes Pledger as Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley’s newest board member.

From a Halloween-themed hike and skating at a haunted hangout, to a Dia De Los Muertos celebration and even pickleball, the City’s array of spooky season activities are sure to be a hit with every member of your household.

Halloween Fiesta at the Newhall Community Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Halloween-themed Community Hike at Central Park beginning at 6 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 25:

Skate and Scare Halloween Ice Skating and Costume contest at the Cube from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Dia De Los Muertos at the Canyon Country Community Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Floating Pumpkin Patch from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Halloween Haunt Disc Golf Tournament at Central Park beginning at 5 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 30:

Ghosts in the Kitchen Pickleball Tournament at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex Gymnasium on Oct. 30

Mobile Command Unit:

The City is introducing the new mobile command unit, a 45-foot long, state-of-the-art vehicle that will serve as a central hub for communication and collaboration. It will allow the City, Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department and other agencies to work side-by-side when responding to major incidents.

Welcome to the Family Promise SCV Board of Directors:

O’Keefe also introduces Pledger as the newest board member for Family Promise of the Santa Clarita Valley. The local nonprofit provides programs and support services to families at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
