The hills nestled around Lake Hughes were alive with the sound of music as hundreds gathered Saturday, Oct. 25, for the meaningful Harvest Moon Gathering, benefiting The Painted Turtle and The Bridge School.

The hours-long benefit concert featured an impressive lineup that included Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, Beck and Lana Del Rey.

The Painted Turtle is a local nonprofit founded by actor and philanthropist Paul Newman. The amazing organization provides a traditional camp experience free of charge to children living with serious medical conditions. The Bridge School is also an incredible nonprofit located in Northern California’s San Mateo County and offers children with extensive speech and physical disabilities a chance to thrive. The organization was founded in 1986 by Young and was inspired by his son Ben, who was born with Cerebral Palsy.
