What’s more fun than a barrel of monkeys? Having them in the studio! In this wild but absolutely fun episode of SCVTV’s Community Corner, Stacy Gunderson, executive director of Animal Tracks, and Danyelle Sanders, the organization’s ambassador, brought along some of the most adorable critters who call Animal Tracks home.

Gunderson introduces us to Tara, a 31-year-old capuchin monkey who starred in The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Animal Tracks ended up with Tara after she retired from the movie industry.

Gunderson shines light on the illegal animal trade and also shares some fascinating details on animal behaviors.

But don’t worry. It’s not all monkey business! Sanders gives us a sneak peek of Animal Tracks’ upcoming fundraiser, Wild Hearts Gala. The eco-conscious event will take place Friday, Nov. 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., at The Ebell Los of Angeles. Proceeds from the event will go towards Animal Tracks’ ongoing efforts to protect the future of wildlife.
