Kicking off this week’s episode, co-hosts Carrie Lujan and Dave Caldwell highlight the recent Harvest Moon Gathering, a benefit concert that raised funds for two amazing nonprofits: The Painted Turtle in Lake Hughes and The Bridge School, which is located in Northern California’s San Mateo County.

Hundreds of music fans flocked to Lake Hughes, on the grounds of The Painted Turtle camp facility, where they were treated to a fun-filled, magical day of legendary tunes, classic hits, dancing, delicious eats and all-around good time.

The hours-long concert featured a star-studded lineup that included Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, Beck and Lana Del Rey.

The Painted Turtle was founded by legendary actor and philanthropist Paul Newman. The incredible organization provides a traditional camp experience free of charge to children living with serious medical conditions.

The Bridge School, which was founded by Neil Young himself, offers children with extensive speech and physical disabilities a chance to adapt, connect and thrive. The organization was inspired by Young’s son Ben, who was born with Cerebral Palsy.
