The holiday season is a time for family gatherings and time-honored traditions. But for some seniors, that’s not always the case. That’s why the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center, in partnership with the Castaic/SCV Lions Club, will host its annual Thanksgiving Feast to provide companionship, friendship and a sense of community to those who would otherwise be spending the holiday alone.

Kevin MacDonald, chief executive officer for the SCV Senior Center, chats with us about what to expect at this year’s feast, a meaningful event that’s held on the holiday itself. Seniors will be provided a full Thanksgiving meal and experience a gathering that feels like home.

This year’s feast will take place Nov. 27, from 10:45 to 12:30 p.m., at Bella Vida, located at 27180 Golden Valley Road in Santa Clarita.

MacDonald also highlighted the Senior Center’s array of festive events, such as a concert by Surfin’, a Beach Boys cover band, which are sure to bring holiday cheer to every senior.
