In this episode of SCVTV’s Community Corner, co-host Carrie Lujan kicks things off with guest-host and longtime friend of the show Nancy Lantis. Lantis is the Artistic Director of Eclipse Theatre L.A., a local nonprofit whose productions include original, adapted and previously produced plays. We then catch up with Include Everyone Project who gives us a sneak preview of its meaningful New York-themed Winter Gala – the nonprofit’s annual fundraiser. The festive event will include local entertainers, a student performance, dinner, dancing and a silent auction! Circle of Hope highlights the launch of its first-ever published book, “In Awe of Becoming,” a meaningful collection of poems written by the organization’s Creative Writing class. Proceeds from the book will continue the organization’s mission to provide wellness therapies, emotional support and financial assistance to those in the Santa Clarita Valley who are going through their cancer journey. Get to know the newest board members of Family Promise of SCV and find out how you can give back to its Harvest for Hope campaign – an amazing opportunity to make an impact by sponsoring a family at-risk of homelessness and providing them with a warm meal and safe play to stay. And finally, we get into the holiday spirit with The Master’s University’s beloved Come Christmas Sing, a tradition that dates back 41 years and brings the sounds of the season and yuletide cheer to the Santa Clarita community.
