Embark on a literary journey with Michael Merino, marketing and outreach coordinator for the city of Santa Clarita, as he gives a fun glimpse into this year’s Family Literacy Festival Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Old Town Newhall Library Branch. “Under the Big Top: Where the Story Never Stops” is a family-friendly event that will include classic carnival games, circus-themed hands-on crafts and stories that come to life! The festival is meant to encourage lifelong learning and foster a love of literacy. The exciting lineup will also include the chance for families to experience the Library Express, the City’s mobile library filled with books, technology and library resources, and the new Mobile Command Unit!
