SCVTV's Community Corner | Eclipse Theatre L.A.’s ‘Curse of the Starving Class’ Coming to The MAIN
|
|
Eclipse Theatre L.A. will soon bring Sam Shephard’s award-winning play, “Curse of the Starving Class,” to The MAIN in January 2026 thanks in large part to a 15 year old. When Sally Lantis, daughter of Artistic Director Nancy Lantis, approached her mom to act together for the first time, Nancy could not resist. The play is a dark comedy about family dysfunction, parent/child relationships and the fall of the American Dream, which Lantis describes as very timely. Director Shanan Harrell also shares why the message of the play will resonate with many people. You can catch the mother-daughter duo sharing the spotlight beginning Jan. 23. Tickets can be purchased at curse2026.eventbrite.com. NOTE: The play comes with an R rating and is not recommended for children.
