SCVTV's Community Corner | Hear How You Can Properly Recycle Holiday Waste
|
|
Laura Jardine, administrative analyst for the city of Santa Clarita, offers practical tips on properly disposing of holiday waste, including fresh Christmas trees and wreaths. Residents will have two ways to recycle their holiday trees: 1) Trees can be placed curbside beginning Dec. 26 through Saturday, Jan. 10 and Burrtec will pick it up. 2) The City will offer three designated locations for those residents who would prefer to drop off their tree or wreath. NOTE: Residents must remove all lights, tinsel, ornaments, tree stands, ribbon, etc. before dropping off trees or wreaths. Flocked trees are accepted but cannot be recycled, and will be disposed of as trash. Artificial trees are not part of this program and should be disposed through the bulky item pick-up and drop-off program. Head to GreenSantaClarita.com to learn more about location drop offs and more on the City’s green initiatives. SCVTV’s Community airs Mondays at 4 p.m. on Spectrum Channel 20, AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, Apple TV, Roku, SCVTV.com, and on Facebook. Want to see more from SCVTV’s Community Corner?
