In this Community Corner mini episode, student guest hosts Kayleigh Behar from Hart High School and Jayne Gilchrist from Saugus High School rewind through Season 6, revisiting segments from 2025. The episode includes conversations on the Career and College Readiness Program, Bowman High School, Placerita Junior High’s Dual Immersion Program, and an update from the Castaic Union School District.

The rewind begins with a look back at Episode 15 with Dr. Carolyn Hoffman the Director of the Hart District’s Career and College Readiness Program. Dr. Hoffman walked viewers through how students across the Hart District are gaining hands-on experience and building real-world skills that connect classroom learning to future careers and college pathways.

From there, we jump to Episode 29 for a conversation about Bowman High School with Principal Nina Zamora and Bowman alum Antonio Curiel. Together, they challenged old preconceptions and shared how Bowman provides a flexible, supportive environment and a fresh start for students who need a different path toward graduation.

Next, the rewind takes us to Episode 21, featuring John Turner, Principal of Placerita Junior High School, along with Jose Lopez, Dual Immersion teacher. They offered insight into Placerita’s Dual Immersion Program, one of only two in the valley, and discussed how students are strengthening language skills while learning across cultures.

Then we wrap up with a revisit to Episode 27, checking in with Superintendent Bob Brauneisen for an update on the Castaic Union School District. He shared details on ongoing initiatives, learning programs, and campus improvements that continue to support students and families throughout the year.
