For five decades, the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society has been instrumental in educating generations of school children and families about the rich history of the SCV. And now, it’s time to celebrate 50 years of impact!

Carol Rock, marketing director for SCVHS and Patti Rasmussen, SCVHS advisory board member, are inviting the community to the Historical Society’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, “Live from Santa Clarita, it’s Saturday Night,” March 7, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m, at the Canyon Country Community Center.

The nostalgic celebration will play out just like an episode of Saturday Night Live and will include live music, entertaining sketches and a surprise or two along the way.

Tickets are on sale now, with both individual seats and sponsorships available. Individual tickets for the event are $175. Funds raised will directly support SCVHS’ ongoing efforts to preserve, educate and celebrate SCV’s storied past.
