SCVTV’s Community Corner kicks things off with guest host Tyler Pledger’s journey within the city of Santa Clarita.

What began as a summer job as counselor at Camp Clarita in 2011, has blossomed into 15-year career where Pledger now finds herself the new Economic Development Manager, overseeing Santa Clarita’s Film Office, Tourism, Business Development and Business Sponsorships. She was also recently installed as a board member for the SCV Chamber of Commerce.

Pledger also previews exciting events coming to Santa Clarita, including the Sister Cities Young Artists and Authors Showcase. The theme this year will be “Voices of Today, Visions of Tomorrow” and students must be between 12 and 18-years-old on April 1, 2026 to qualify. Deadline to apply is March 13.
