SRD (Samantha Rocha-Dyre) Straightening Reins is a local nonprofit dedicated to improving the mental well-being of adolescents, teens and now adults through equine-assisted therapies and interactive experiences.

Debbie Rocha, co-founder of SRD Straightening Reins, reflects on her journey of turning her pain into purpose after losing her daughter, Samantha, in 2011. In the wake of her loss, Rocha’s mission was to create a safe space where kids and teens can connect, find support and heal through interaction with horses and ranch animals.
