SCVTV's Community Corner | Tap Into the Rich History of Rancho Camulos Museum
|
|
Visitors to Rancho Camulos Museum can step back in time and immerse themselves in this hidden gem where history, culture and picturesque surroundings come alive. We chat with Maria Christopher, museum volunteer and media and marketing liaison, who taps into the rich history of Rancho Camulos, a 40-acre historical landmark in Lake Piru. The museum is available for guided tours and events. One such event will kick off the annual Cowboy Festival, Friday, April 17, at 1 p.m., with a screening of the documentary, “Ghosts of California.” Katie Ryan, who directed and produced the documentary, shares her inspiration for the film, which explores historical events that shaped California, including the St. Francis Dam disaster. Christopher also highlights the need for volunteers and gives us a sneak preview of upcoming Rancho Camulos events.
