We explore the colorful and magical world of literature at Dia de los Ninos / Dia de los Libros with Kendra Fitzpatrick and Ellie Kalman, senior librarians for the Santa Clarita Public Library.

The annual event is a nationwide initiative designed to celebrate children and connects them to different cultures, while fostering a love of reading. The theme this year is “Unearth Your History,” and will include vibrant performances from Ballet Folklorico, lively mariachis composed of local children and a slate of fun arts and crafts.

The free event will take place at the Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy Library, Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
